Shou Sugi Ban Wide Door Wedges

We can credit our cat, Kipper, for the inspiration behind these elegant door wedges! Mewing piteously at doors forever wanting to wander in and out… Hey presto! Happy cat, happy owners no longer slaves to her nomadic tendencies. You don’t have to be a pet owner to find these oh so useful, as well as decorative, though. These Wide Door Wedges are created from re-claimed industrial wood – processed using the ancient Japanese technique of Shou sugi ban, or Yakisugi, and then either sanded to a natural finish or dyed with a colour wood stain. These are available in a range of colours, but please contact us if you cannot see the colour of your choice as we are happy to accept commissions.
